Côte d’Azur France s’est associé au Centre du Verre Contemporain pour vous proposer des créations artistiques inédites mettant à l’honneur les galets, emblématiques des paysages et des plages azuréennes.

Création, expérimentation et partage sont au cœur de la philosophie du Centre du Verre Contemporain, depuis sa création en 1980. L’ambition du Centre est de promouvoir l’art verrier et les créateurs qui rendent hommage à cette matière indomptable. Qu’ils s’agissent de jeunes artistes ou de créateurs reconnus, tous exercent leur passion dans ce lieu imaginé et conçu par Antoine Pierini, artiste verrier.

ANTOINE PIERINI’S GLASS PEBBLES

A POETIC TRIBUTE TO THE CÔTE D’AZUR

Antoine Pierini, a glass blower and sculptor, designed this new collection of pebbles as a tribute to his native region. The Côte d’Azur France pebbles, which are presented as personalised triptychs, are inspired by iconic locations in the Côte d’Azur. Each pebble triptych is unique, capturing the essence of a specific location and inviting one to be immersed into the captivating atmosphere of the Côte d’Azur.

These works of art stem from the talent and passion of Antoine Pierini, who has successfully worked the glass to create unique pieces as a mark of his love for his native land.

The Centre of Contemporary Glass aims at bringing to light the work of world-famous glass design artists, as well as discussing and renewing glass art techniques and know-how.

The Centre brings together an international community of designers and students who explore the use of glass in art and design. With the exceptional setting of a former olive oil mill, this is a unique exhibition and selling area in the Côte d’Azur.

By bringing together talents from around the globe and by promoting discussions and meet-ups, the Centre of Contemporary Glass has established itself as a major player on the Côte d’Azur artistic and cultural scene.

It helps promote glass art, ensuring its continuation and influence, and invites us all to dive into a creative world driven by boldness and innovation.

A MUST-SEE SPOT ON THE CÔTE D’AZUR

The Centre of Contemporary Glass, which is located in a former 15th century oil mill, benefits from an outstanding setting, which harmoniously combines the historical and artistic heritage of Biot.

The building, which was erected using stones from Biot’s old fortress, is where the works of contemporary glass blowers and sculptors are exhibited.
