LA MAISON GANNAC

A FAMILY BUSINESS, A LOCAL TRADITION

At Domaine Gannac, Laurent brings to life some thirty species and varieties of citrus fruit, from IGP Menton lemons to kumquats, yuzu, fine Corsican mentine, grapefruit and caviar lemons.mentine fine de Corse, grapefruit, caviar lemons… Any product can be grandiose if you know how to listen to it. This has been Adrien’s philosophy since he joined his father. It can be summed up in one equation: how to take citrus fruit – a fruit that has been trivialized for too long, and whose season we no longer know – out of the ordinary and transform it into something extraordinary! Citron de Menton is the fruit of a successful marriage between a latitude already far north for this production (Menton is the most northerly zone for this citrus fruit) and a local microclimate that protects it from frost. Citron de Menton is also known as the “four seasons” citrus fruit. This term is justified by the fact that it blooms heavily in the spring, recovering in the summer and again in late autumn.
