The Lucéram crib circuit
Every year for the past 27 years, the inhabitants of Lucéram, a village situated at an altitude of 664 meters and not far from Nice, have displayed over 450 cribs in all parts of the village, both outdoors: on porches, wash-houses, windowsills, at the Tower in a woodpile, on a gutter, etc., and indoors: in cellars, shopkeepers’ houses, at the bread oven, Chapelle St Pierre, Musée de la Crèche, Placette, Church, Musée des Vieuxes, etc. as well as indoors: in cellars, shopkeepers’ premises, the bread oven, Chapelle St Pierre, Musée de la Crèche, Placette, Church, Musée des Vieux Outils, Moulin à Huile du Val del Prat, Station de Peïra-Cava, Turini.
From the smallest, in half a hazelnut, to the largest measuring 10 m in length, from the most original to the most unusual: in a matchbox, a wooden clog, cuckoo clocks, wrought iron, knitted…
At the entrance to the village, pick up a map of the village at the “chalet accueil”, then follow the signposted route to discover the cribs!
This magnificent crib tour is organized by the Maison de Pays de Lucéram in collaboration with local residents, associations and the commune of Lucéram.
