An enchanting start to the festivities

The inauguration of the Christmas festivities on November 30 promises a magical immersion from day one.

At 10 a.m., the Christmas Village opens its doors on the Place du Grand Jardin, unveiling some twenty chalets hosted by local artisans and exhibitors.

From 5pm onwards, the magic comes to life with a musical parade featuring gospel and rhythm and blues, as glittering stilt-walkers and costumed performers stroll the streets.

Visitors will be dazzled by a dance show, combining classical and break dancing in a captivating performance, before gathering for the illumination of the Étoile du Baou. To crown this first day, an aerial show 5 meters above the ground will amaze young and old in the Place du Grand Jardin.

Christmas Village

From November 30 to December 28, the Christmas Village becomes the vibrant heart of the celebrations.

Its 13 chalets house a rich diversity of artisans, perfect for unearthing unique gifts or savoring local specialties. And there’s no shortage of entertainment: Marvel superhero parades, children’s shows such as“Thor’s Glove is Gone“, and face-painting workshops will enchant the very young.

Every week, magical moments take place, such as escape in a medieval escape game or festive strolls with costumed characters.

Vintage merry-go-rounds, miniature trains and carousels provide a nostalgic and fun touch, while nocturnes light up the evenings with a fairytale atmosphere.

Free entertainment for all: a generous Christmas in Vence

One of the major attractions of Christmas in Vence is the multitude offree events on offer throughout the festive period. Families will particularly appreciate the creative workshops at the Freinet multimedia library, where young and old can make Christmas wreaths or create their own fanzine, free of charge. Children will also have the opportunity to have their faces made up into festive characters at workshops held on December 1 and 18 in the Place du Grand Jardin.

Film buffs won’t be left out: free screenings ofanimatedfilms such as“Vice-versa 2” and“La Grande Aventure de Non-Non” are planned at the Médiathèque and in the Passage Cahours, creating convivial moments for the whole family. On December 15, two free gospel concerts in the Place du Grand Jardin will offer an unforgettable musical experience, perfect for celebrating the magic of Christmas in a warm atmosphere.

Every week, the town of Vence also offers spectacular parades, including those featuring Marvel heroes or the awe-inspiring Transformers, strolling through the historic center, for memorable souvenirs.

Musée de Vence 3.00pm: “The little family Christmas workshop”. Creating Christmas cards.
Place Clemenceau 11.30am: bear, reindeer and snowman to delight children.
Place du Grand Jardin 5.00pm: be amazed by a lyrical show. Poetry set in motion by dancers and acrobats. A show created exclusively for Vence!
