Cap d’Antibes: from sunrise to sunset with Valentin!

Head for Cap d’Antibes!

Start your day at Cap d’Antibes in the area known as billionaires’ bay for some snorkelling. You’ll need to take the Chemin des Douaniers from Avenue Mrs Beaumont. Wear good shoes as the path is not negotiable in sandals. It is quite long, but you can stop whenever you feel like it. Just lay out your towel and head for the Mediterranean to discover the Côte d’Azur marine fauna and flora. If you have the soul of a sports enthusiast, you’ll also enjoy running the coastal footpath. There are breathtaking views and lots of climbs and descents. Ideal for working all the muscles of your body!

Favourite lunch spot in Cap d’Antibes: Plage de la Garoupe!

Among my tips for lunch in Cap d’Antibes, head for the sublime Garoupe beach. Why not have lunch by the water’s edge at Plage Keller, or walk along the beach and take the coastal path for a picnic overlooking the Mediterranean and with a view of the Alpine peaks too! There are two ways to get there: you can park your car near the Garoupe beach or walk there from where you went snorkelling. Depending where you were, it will be about 2 to 3 kilometres on foot along the coastal path heading east. Take advantage of your afternoon to sunbathe and swim. Even if the water is too cold for swimming, you won’t be able to resist a paddle!

It’s sunset on Cap d’Antibes!

The clock is ticking and it’s almost the end of the day. Head to Les Ondes beach to admire the unique sunset against the Iles de Lérins. It is a free show that Mother Nature offers to those who make the most of it. The environment is magnificent with tall pine trees. You can either sit on the beach or on the rocks to admire the sunset. A hundred meters to the left you can visit the small fishing port – l’Olivette harbour. On the other side, you can see the Cap d’Antibes tower that was built in the 50s as a movie set. If you want a 360-degree view of Antibes and its headland, go up the Garoupe lighthouse. The view from there is stunning!
