WALK IDEA NO. 1: THE BRAGUE VALLEY

Bucolic stroll in lush green surroundings

Famed for its blown glass craftsmanship, the village of Biot is also the starting point for a beautiful walk in the heart of the Brague Natural Park that links Biot and Valbonne. This trail along the water leads the rambler through a wild and preserved Riparian forest where alder, hazelnut and ash trees brighten the multiple Launes and stunning calcified waterfalls. Open your eyes! It’s not unusual to come across warblers, blackbirds, cuckoos, little owls, jays and other water birds.

WALK IDEA NO. 2: THE ESTÉREL GRAND DUC CIRCUIT

Change of scenery guaranteed on the border of the Var

Journey to the yellow-gold land of the Côte d’Azur with the Esterel Grand-Duc circuit. This walk through the heart of the mimosas starts in Mandelieu-La Napoule. Particularly easy, it is aimed at the entire famlily and is perfect to be taken in January and February, when the little yellow flower is in bloom. As stated by a famous mimosa cultivator, “The mimosa, which brightens, perfumes and delights will forever remain the symbol of the Côte d’Azur. It is the only flower that offers its sparkling colour and delicate fragrance in the middle of winter.”

WALK IDEA NO. 3: THE SIAGNE VALLEY

A natural backdrop conducive to relaxation

This walk through the woods along the Siagne holds several surprises for walkers. You will cross a delightful centuries-old oak forest where maritime pines, elm trees and even hazelnut trees rub shoulders. A pleasant trail even in the summer season, this unusual circuit leads the rambler along the left bank of the Siagne thanks to the old Saint-Cassien rural path that runs beside the meandering river. While this location is particularly appreciated in summer for its cool air, the emerald green of the Siagne calls for calm and serenity all year long. A circuit that will be sure to delight nature lovers!

WALK IDEA NO. 4: THE CAP D’ANTIBES

A little corner of paradise

This lovely walk follows the coastal path known as the Sentier du Tirepoil, along the Cap d’Antibes. With staircases laid out in the steep zones, the path offers not only a magnificent view over the Côte d’Antibes but also of architectural masterpieces such as the Château de la Croé or Villa Eilenroc. This bit of rock also has an incredibly diverse range of flora, including sea fennel, silver ragwort, sea lavenders and red valerian.

WALK IDEA NO. 5: THE CRÊTE DES GRUES

A true balcony over the Côte d’Azur…

The Crête des Grues, which shelters the privileged site of Miramar and the La Fugueirette bay from the Mistral, has a discreet trail offering sublime viewpoints over the entire west of the department, and particularly over the Esterel mountain range and its stunning and characteristic red rock (porphyry). The Alpine foothills of Grasse, the Argentera-Mercantour secondary mountain range, the bays of Cannes and Saint-Raphaël all draw the eye in the distance, with the Esterel mountain range and its infinite knotwork of hills and valleys stretching out in the foreground, dominated by Mont Vinaigre (614 m) and the summit of the Suvières (558 m) to the North, and by the peak of the Ours (492 m) in the South, recognizable with its mountaintop transmitter station.
