HAVEN OF PEACE AND VINEYARD

Did you know? Ile Saint-Honorat has been home to a community of monks since the year 410.

When you discover Ile Saint-Honorat, you will find the Abbey of Lérins monastery. The 21 monks who today make up the community have been cultivating their eight hectare vineyard with art and passion since the Middle Ages. All the stages (pruning, disbudding and harvesting) are done by hand. During your walk, discover the 10th century chapels and the 11th century ruins that dot the island. There is easy access to small natural coves and paths lined with olive trees and Aleppo pines.
