THE CÔTE D’AZUR MERCANTOUR ULTRA-TRAIL: A UNIQUE LANDSCAPE!
Its climbs and technicality make it one of the most difficult trails in the world!
The 125 km competitors will set off from the Principality of Monaco!
Racers will head towards the Authion mountain range and the legendary Col de Turini, which was made famous by the Monte Carlo Rally. Another reminder of the connections between the Alpes Maritimes Department and the Principality of Monaco. The end of the trail in the Massif du Mercantour, which will include portions at nearly 3,000 metres in altitude, will be offering an amazing change of scenery before ending in the highly picturesque village of Saint-Martin-Vésubie, dubbed “La Petite Suisse Niçoise” (“Nice’s Little Switzerland”)…
The other trails, starting and ending in Saint-Martin-Vésubie, will not be outdone, with a highly mountainous profile and crest line sections at over 2,500 metres in altitude. With breathtaking views over the coastline, a very distinctive attribute of the Vesubie Valley.
Thanks to a more accessible 10-km itinerary, less experienced racers will also be able to get a taste of the joys of the Trail.
