THE BIG REGGAE FESTIVAL: A MUSICAL TRADITION SINCE 1998

Since its creation 27 years ago, the Big Reggae Festival has made a name for itself as an unmissable event within the French musical landscape. Unique on the Côte d’Azur, it attracts a loyal, diverse and multi-generational audience, with a catchment area that extends from the Var to western Liguria. This themed festival, adored by artists perpetuating reggae culture, traditionally marks the beginning of the famous “Jazz à Juan” festival and remains firmly rooted in the local area, offering an immersive musical experience amid an exceptional setting on the shores of the Mediterranean.

With 27 editions under its belt, this festival – unique in its genre – has welcomed over 538 renowned artists, attracting an intergenerational audience of over 100,000 spectators each year. THE 2024 LINE-UP: A WEALTH OF REGGAE TALENTS

This year, the Big Reggae Festival promises an exceptional line-up, putting the spotlight on a wealth of renowned artists from the reggae scene. Headlining the festival, Naâman – a veritable icon of French reggae – will light up the stage with his melodic and groovy flow, transporting the audience in a whirlwind of enchanting rhythms. Accompanied by Deep Rockers Crew, Naâman will present a set that is both energetic and moving, drawing from his rich and varied repertoire.

The festival will also welcome Taïro, an artist whose unique history resonates with the values of commitment and resilience inherent to reggae. Known for his powerful voice and committed lyrics, Taïro will captivate the audience with his social hymns and message of tolerance and peace. His performance promises to be a veritable moment of communion, as music becomes a vector for change and unity.

Meanwhile, Lidiop will bring his personal touch to the reggae scene by skilfully blending this genre with elements of afro-pop music. His smash-hit “Rockadown”, in collaboration with Vanupied, has already racked up millions of views on YouTube, bearing witness to his great talent and potential. On stage, Lidiop will charm the public with his charisma and magnetic presence, inviting everyone to let themselves be carried away by the magic of his music.

Finally, Ky-Mani Marley, a true living legend of reggae, will beautifully close this edition of the Big Reggae Festival. Son of the legendary Bob Marley, Ky-Mani Marley has carved out his own artistic path by exploring the intersections of reggae, hip-hop and R&B. His set promises a musical journey through the ages, mixing his father’s timeless classics with his own daring and innovative creations. With his undeniable charisma and contagious passion, Ky-Mani Marley will offer up a masterful conclusion to this unmissable event on the reggae scene.
