When you visit the islands of Porquerolles and Port-Cros, you are entering the territory of the Parc national de Port-Cros, a protected and fragile natural area. In order to preserve this exceptional setting, certain rules must be observed:
- camping is prohibited,
- rubbish must be deposited in the containers provided,
- the picking of plants and the taking of species is prohibited,
- smoking is prohibited outside the villages.
Dogs are not allowed on the island of Port-Cros. From June to September, the islands are subject to fire risks and access may be prohibited if the risk is classified as very severe. Daily information on access to forest areas can be found on the Préfecture du Var website: https://www.risque-prevention-incendie.fr/var/
- Unfortunately, due to its natural configuration, the island is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems.
Each visitor contributes to the protection of these areas. By taking simple, responsible steps, you are helping to preserve the islands.
