Day 1:
Depart Nice (Gare de Nice-Ville) at 9:08am - Arrive Fontan - Saorge at 10:53am

As soon as you enter the village, you're struck by the breathtaking views all around.
The "Tibetan" village is entirely pedestrianized, with several squares that make you feel very small in the face of this colorful village life. Visit Place de l'Eglise Saint-Sauveur to soak up the Baroque soul. The chapelle des Pénitents blancs with its glazed bulbous bell tower is a theatrical spectacle to behold.
Descend the "cunun" stairs through the narrow streets to reach the Place du Soutaï, with its view over the valley and the Château de Malmort. Continue to the Monastère de Saorge, a must-see, and take advantage of the esplanade to soak up the serenity and beauty of these buildings with their purple slate roofs shimmering in the sun. For lunch, choose "la petite épicerie" or "lou pountin" in the heart of the village.

Arriving at Breil station, discover the Baroque church of Santa-Maria-in-Albis with its impressive ochre facade. Inside, you'll be immersed in centuries of art and history, with its altarpiece, its organ, classified as one of the finest in the valley, and Louis Bréa's altarpiece. If you have time, take the Boulevard Rouvier through the village to the Tour de la Cruella for a panoramic view with the song of the cicadas in the background.

Day 2:
It's time to explore Sospel! Immerse yourself in medieval history as you cross the Bévéra on the Pont-Vieux. Admire the shimmering colors of the facades and the play of light in the narrow streets. Suddenly, facing the Cathédrale Saint-Michel, you'll be dazzled by the richness of the Baroque décor, a veritable stage set. After lunch at Sousper, take the train to La Brigue.

From the square in front of the Collégiale, admire the three buildings that rise to the sky. The narrow streets lined with colorful houses and mysterious lintels lead to the medieval castle. Not far from there, a beekeeping curiosity awaits you, a very special apiary: the "Ca' d'arbine". Visit the Musée du Patrimoine to immerse yourself in the nostalgia of bygone days. To extend your day, visit Notre-Dame des Fontaines, a little Sistine that's not to be missed. Along the way, let your senses awaken in the midst of serene, fragrant nature. The timeless paintings in the chapel captivate and question with their symbolism and beauty.

Start your day strolling through the streets of Tende, discovering the symbols incised into the green stone and following in the footsteps of travelers on the Route Royale. Admire the brightly-colored collegiate church.
Lunch in the heart of the village to savor regional specialties.
Visit the remains of Château Lascaris and the Saint-Sauveur chapel perched on its rock, offering breathtaking scenery. In the late afternoon, discover the Musée Départemental des Merveilles, recounting the history of the Vallée des Merveilles, at the foot of Mont Bégo.

- Boselia / Lubaïra loop (3h30, arrival in the village around 3pm)
