Cine-concert on the Serrassi organ in Tende collegiate church. On the bill: "L'Arroseur arrosé" and other films by the Lumière brothers, with extracts from Thierry Frémaux's "Lumière! The adventure begins" by Thierry Frémaux. A tribute to the beginnings of cinema.
This year marks the 130th anniversary of the invention of cinema by the Lumière brothers. In 1895, Louis and Auguste Lumière revolutionized the moving image with the Cinématographe, capturing scenes of everyday life that would go on to mark the history of the seventh art. From "La Sortie de l'usine Lumière" to "L'Arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat", their films still amaze with their simplicity and modernity. As part of the anniversary celebrations, an exceptional screening of their work, accompanied by a ciné-concert, will bring back to life the poetry of reality and the unspoiled emotion of the first moments of cinema.
Ciné-concert organized in co-production with Sivom de la Roya and Les amis de la Route Royale.
