Molière's testamentary play deals with life, illness and death in a whirlwind of emotions designed to captivate the audience, making them cry, laugh and reflect on the evils and blessings of this world.
For actors the world over, this work represents the "imaginary death" of that giant of popular theater culture, Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known as Molière. An "imaginary death", because Molière is still very much alive and present, showing us the way forward for the triumph of common sense and justice through theatrical representation.
