_Behind his look, like that of an actor from the 1970s-1980s, there hides a artist who has gained international recognition as the torchbearer of funk. Immersed in zouk and African sounds, Dabeull has managed to breathe modernity into an authentic sound, warm and entirely produced with synthesisers from the 1970s. With his analogue live band, his musicians dressed in period costumes and his vintage synths, Dabeull offers a one-ways ticket to the 1970s-1980s! His original vision and his quirky charisma enable him to reach an ever-wider audience.
_The first extract of their fifth album released in spring 2024, Caravan Palace reveals the single MAD: a driving and exalting blend of vintage and electronic sounds. This unusual and unique musical cocktail which borrows from jazz and swing of the Roaring Twenties, has brought them international success which continues to develop and gain confirmation with each of their album releases, world tours and clips in a crazy and addictive universe. In this way, within the space of ten or so years, the band has passed from the status of a live sensation on the Parisian scene to that of a pop phenomenon making an international buzz. Their stats are giddying: 2 billion streams on YouTube, 800.000 million on Spotify… They are one of the very few French bands to have been awarded a platinum disk in the United States.
