Trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris, Éric Elmosnino began his career in theater, notably at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers under the direction of Jean-Pierre Vincent. He distinguished himself in classic plays such as Shakespeare's As You Like It and Molière's Les Fourberies de Scapin. He received a César Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Serge Gainsbourg in the film Gainsbourg (a heroic life) (2010). He then appeared in several notable films such as La Famille Bélier (2014), where he played the heroine's music teacher; Le Skylab (2011), a family comedy directed by Julie Delpy; Télé Gaucho (2012), inspired by the experience of the Télé Bocal channel; and Chic! (2015), a comedy about the world of fashion. At the beginning of 2025, he was appearing at the Théâtre de l'Athénée Louis-Jouvet in Molière's Le Misanthrope, directed by Georges Lavaudant.
