On June 29, Sainte-Maxime pays tribute to its maritime heritage with the traditional Saint-Pierre Festival. A day marked by traditions, fervour and conviviality.

The festivities begin with a mass in the church, followed by a procession at sea where local fishermen honor their patron saint by blessing their boats. Back on the beach Luc Provensal, the folk group Lei Magnoti sets the tone with traditional dances and music before the burning of the Pointu, a moment always charged with emotion.
