Park at the drop of Tueis. Take the GR 52 to the right of the small hut
(beacon 244). The route follows the wide open ridge line. At the first pass, take the track to the right that leads to Fort de la Forca to enjoy the magnificent view of the entire sospellois basin and the sea. Return to the GR52 and follow it to the right again. At the 410 beacon, go back and forth to the Redoute which culminates at 2078 m and also offers a 360° panorama. Return to Beacon 410. It is possible to continue to discover other forts in this barren environment. Take the GR52 towards Sospel, the route arrives at Plan Caval.The walk back is done by the same route or on the tourist road not very busy until the monument. In the bend take the path behind the interpretive pannels of the Mercantour National Park and climb to the ruins that one sees. Turn right at these. The path brings back to the GR52 which leads to the starting parking lot.
