The construction of this dam changed the appearance of the town, creating a water body that supplies the Arbousset hydroelectric plant. Today, this body of water is also conducive to recreational activities such as fishing or kayaking.

A new dam has been built to the latest seismic standards, which respects the environment, with better landscape integration, reduced noise pollution and special attention to biodiversity through the creation of a fish farm. The structure, visible from the lower deck, is not visited.
