For 50 years, the Nuits du Château de la Moutte have been bringing Saint-Tropez to life in the moonlight, between the courtyard, the palm grove and the Canebiers beach, with concerts of classical, baroque, jazz and world music. A magical rendezvous under the stars.
Vivaldi Flamboyant
Venice in Saint-Tropez: the elegant flamboyance of Baroque music and Italy. The Consort, led by Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Justin Taylor, has established itself in recent years as a leading figure of the new generation.

Le Consort (Ensemble)
A soloist ensemble, Le Consort was born of the desire of four young musicians to revive the trio sonata repertoire and make this genre, the quintessence of Baroque chamber music, the heart of their artistic project, performing works by famous composers such as Corelli, Vivaldi and Purcell, as well as lesser-known composers like Reali and Dandrieu. The four musicians like to emphasize in their interpretations the dialogue between the two violins and the basso continuo, which deploys a wealth of contrasts so characteristic of 17th and 18th century chamber music.

In June 2017, Le Consort won the Premier Prix and the Prix du Public at the Concours International de Musique Ancienne du Val de Loire, presided over by William Christie. It has since been Ensemble-résident at the Abbaye de Royaumont, at the Banque de France, and at the Festivals de Wallonie during the summer of 2021.

In recent years, Le Consort has regularly ventured off the trio sonata trail to create more ambitious programs with singers, as with Adèle Charvet and the Teatro Sant Angelo program, or Concerti per una Vita, a double disc of violin concertos by Théotime Langlois de Swarte. The Consort has also expanded its membership to accompany the concert and recording projects of its soloists, and has achieved the remarkable feat of maintaining a chamber ensemble structure despite an increasing number of musicians.

For their recordings, exclusively for ALPHA Classics, the Consort's musicians assert their artistic choices with 'Opus 1', featuring previously unpublished sonatas by Jean-François Dandrieu, coupled with Corelli (Diapason d'or of the year 2019), followed by Specchio Veneziano, contrasting two Venetian composers, Vivaldi and Reali, and Philarmonica exploring the English trio sonata repertoire. Their collaboration with mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik has given rise to two recordings: a collection of French cantatas, Venez, chère Ombre (Classica's CHOC) and a tribute to Handel from the time of the Royal Academy in London (Royal Handel), and more recently they have given pride of place to the famous artistic director of the Teatro San Angelo, Vivaldi, with a collection of Venetian arias brilliantly carried by mezzo, Adèle Charvet.

Société Générale Fondation d'Entreprises is the Consort's main sponsor, and the ensemble Le Consort is supported by La Caisse des Dépôts.

Théotime Langlois de Swarte (Violin)
Théotime Langlois de Swarte is a sought-after violinist, both on the baroque and modern violins. He is also a chamber musician and conductor. He has received numerous international awards for his performances and recordings. As a soloist, he regularly plays concertos by all the Baroque masters. He appears with Les Arts Florissants, Le Consort, the Royal Opera Orchestra, Holland Baroque, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Les Ombres and the Orchestre national de Lorraine.
His engagements have taken him to prestigious venues in Europe, the United States and Asia. Théotime Langlois de Swarte studied at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and became a regular member of Les Arts Florissants at the invitation of William Christie in 2014, while the violinist was still a student. Since then, he has performed alongside the ensemble, and will give Vivaldi's Four Seasons with them as part of a North American tour in spring and autumn 2025.
With harpsichordist Justin Taylor and violinist Sophie de Bardonnèche, Théotime Langlois de Swarte founds the baroque ensemble Le Consort, with whom he offers critically acclaimed recordings. Le Consort performs throughout Europe and North America. Notable recordings include A Concert at the Time of Proust, made on a Davidoff-Stradivarius recently restored at the Musée de la Musique.
2025 will see the release of Vivaldi's Four Seasons to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the work's publication. In parallel with his work as an instrumentalist, Théotime Langlois de Swarte is also involved in orchestral conducting. In 2023, he conducted Les Musiciens du Louvre in a production of Lully's Bourgeois gentilhomme at the Opéra-Comique. He also conducted Grétry's Zémire et Azor, at the invitation of Louis Langrée. In November 2025, he will return to the Opéra-Comique for Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride.

Théotime Langlois de Swarte is a laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire. He plays a violin by Carlo Bergonzi (1733), generously loaned by an anonymous patron.

Sophie de Bardonnèche (Violin)
Sophie de Bardonnèche is a passionate Baroque violinist. Following a Master's degree at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Amandine Beyer's class, Sophie has collaborated with leading Baroque musicians on solo, chamber and orchestral projects. Her interest in rediscovering unpublished scores lying dormant in libraries is reflected in her concerts and recordings. Sophie's first solo album, "Destinées", was released in October 2024 for the Alpha label, with gambist Lucile Boulanger and harpsichordist Justin Taylor. It is devoted to 10 French Baroque women composers between 1650 and 1750, including 8 previously unreleased. The CD release concert will take place on November 22 at the Philharmonie de Paris amphitheatre. Sophie will present this program in concert in Zamora, Alava and at the Teatros Canal in Madrid. Concerts are also scheduled at the "Un Temps pour elles" Festival, as well as at the Festival de Saintes and the prieuré de Vivoin.

In 2015, Sophie created the ensemble Le Consort with Théotime Langlois de Swarte, Justin Taylor, Louise Pierrard and Hanna Salzenstein, which explores the sonata repertoire in baroque trio (2 violins, harpsichord and bow bass). The trio is quickly recognized as one of the leading historical instrument ensembles of its generation. Their recordings have been unanimously acclaimed by the French and international press (Diapason d'or de l'année, Gramophone, FFFF de Télérama, Choc Classica): Venez Chère Ombre with mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, Opus 1 devoted to Dandrieu and Corelli, Royal Händel with Eva Zaïcik, Specchio Veneziano devoted to Reali and Vivaldi. The Consort has been invited to play at major venues and festivals such as the Auditorium de Radio France, La Roque d'Anthéron, La ElbPhilharmonie, La Grange au Lac...
Since 2016, Sophie de Bardonnèche has been a member of the ensemble Les Arts Florissants. Alongside William Christie, she takes part in numerous productions as a chamber musician or within the orchestra, such as Jephta (Händel) at the Opéra Garnier, il Penseroso ed il Moderato (Händel) at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and at the Philharmonie de Paris... Sophie is also invited to give concerts with Le Poème Harmonique (Vincent Dumestre), Jupiter (Thomas Dunford, Lea Desandre), Le Concert de la Loge (Julien Chauvin) or Le Concert Spirituel (Hervé Niquet)...

This season, Sophie can be heard with Le Consort on a concert tour of the USA, at the Deauville Festival, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Concertgebouw in Bruges... Sophie will also take part in the Fêtes d'Hébé with Les Arts Florissants at the Opéra Comique.

Justin Taylor (Harpsichord)
Justin Taylor is a musician of "jubilant" playing (Le Monde, Oct 2024) whose "art of making the keyboard sing is simply astounding" (Classica, Oct 2024).
In 2015, he won First Prize at the Musica Antiqua International Competition in Bruges, as well as the Audience Prize and two Special Prizes. The young Franco-American harpsichordist has since pursued a multi-faceted career as harpsichordist and pianofortist, as soloist and chamber musician.
After several critically and publicly acclaimed recordings, Justin Taylor's latest album, Bach et l'Italie (Alpha Classics, October 2023), has won all the most prestigious awards: Diapason d'or de l'année, CHOC Classica de l'année, nomination for the Victoires de la musique 2024 in the "Recording of the Year" category, BBC Instrumental Choice, selection 2023 by Le Monde newspaper...
Justin Taylor has performed in recital in the greatest French and international concert halls: Auditorium de Radio France, Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Auditori de Barcelone, Library of Congress in Washington, Oji Hall in Tokyo... He is a regular guest at the Festival de la Roque d'Anthéron and the Folle Journée de Nantes. He has also appeared as soloist with many orchestras: Orchestre National de Lille, Concerto Köln, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, Orchestre de Picardie, Mannheim and Duisburg Philharmonikers.
Justin enjoys creating original and innovative record programs. His first disc, La Famille Forqueray : Portrait(s), won a Gramophone Editor's Choice and a "Choc de l'année" from Classica magazine. Continuum, recorded in 2018, brings together works by Scarlatti and Ligeti (Choc Classica, Top 5 du Monde); while La Famille Rameau includes emblematic works by Jean-Philippe Rameau but also unpublished works by several other musicians in the Rameau family (Choc de l'année Classica, TTTT Télérama). Justin has also recorded Mozart's piano concerto no. 17 (K 453) with Le Concert de la Loge for the Aparté label, as well as works by Bach for Deutsche Gramophone's BACH 333 compilation. With his ensemble Le Consort, which has enjoyed critical and public success both in concert and on disc, Justin has made numerous recordings, including three instrumental ones: Opus 1 (Dandrieu, Corelli), Specchio Veneziano (Vivaldi, Reali) and Philarmonica (Purcell, Matteis, Mrs Philarmonica), as well as vocal discs with Eva Zaïcik and Adèle Charvet, and gives some forty concerts a year.

Justin Taylor, a native of Angers, studied piano and harpsichord at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Olivier Baumont and Blandine Rannou for harpsichord and Roger Muraro for piano. Justin Taylor is in residence at the Fondation Singer Polignac.

Hanna Salzenstein (Cello)
After completing her studies at the Paris Conservatoire in Raphael Pidoux's class, Hanna performed at numerous festivals, including La folle journée de Nantes, Le festival international de piano de la Roque d'Anthéron, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaadt festival, and as soloist with the Orchestre du Conservatoire de Paris and the Orchestre Appassionato conducted by Mathieu Herzog at La Seine Musicale as part of the Académie Philippe Jaroussky. She studied Baroque cello with Christophe Coin, then joined the Consort alongside Justin Taylor, Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Sophie de Bardonnèche. Since then, the ensemble has performed in France and Europe on numerous stages (Philharmonie de Paris, Arsenal de Metz, Philharmonie de Cologne, BOZAR Bruxelles, ElbPhilharmonie Hambourg, Opéra de Dijon, Opéra de Montpellier, OudeMuziek). They have made several recordings, including the Diapason d'Or award-winning "Specchio Veneziano", and collaborated with singers such as Eva Zaicik and Adèle Charvet.
With pianist Fiona Mato, they have formed the Adama duo for seven years, and together they are co-founders of the Dichter Trio with violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte. They took part in the Festival International de piano de la Roque d'Anthéron before becoming resident artists at the Fondation Singer Polignac. They then record a disc for Harmonia Mundi devoted to Clara and Robert Schumann, in collaboration with the Musée de la Musique. They make their debut at the Philharmonie de Paris in autumn 2023.

Hanna is a laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire, and has performed alongside Renaud Capuçon during a residency for young artists. She is also taking part in the world premiere of a work by Benjamin Attahir for three cellos and soprano voice entitled "Le Jardin d'Afrique". During the 2024 season, Hanna performs with the Consort on their US debut, with several concert tours. She also makes her first solo recording, on the Mirare label, devoted to the emergence of the solo cello in Italy in the early 18th century, winning a Diapason d'Or Découverte. After appearing as soloist with Le Concert de la Loge and Le Consort in the summer of 2024, in September she recorded her second solo CD, devoted to cello concertos from the Italian repertoire, scheduled for release on the Mirare label in February 2025.
