La Chapelle hosts the "Lou soulèu fai parlar la pèu" exhibition by artist Hugo Genet, a young painter born in Paris in 1993. He divides his time between the capital and Le Plan-de-la-Tour, where he draws some of his inspiration. Trained in the plastic arts at the Sorbonne and then at the Beaux-Arts de Lyon, he enriched his artistic approach during a landmark exchange to Mexico in 2017.
His career is punctuated by self-produced and group exhibitions, notably in Lyon, as well as at the Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon (MAC) with the Super F97 collective.
In 2024, he returned to Mexico with "Super Posicion", a singular installation in the heart of a billiard club.
Hugo Genet explores the light, memory and intimacy of the landscape through his sensitive painting, deeply rooted in the places he visits. The series exhibited in Cogolin bears witness to this approach, rooted in the lived experience and emotion of the land.
Opening on 19/07 at 6pm | Pick-up on 28/07 at 6pm
