Mark Armstrong’s family connection to the area goes back to the early 1920s
when, his grandmother came to live in Nice as a young widow with three children.
Mark started his career in the artworld as a porter in Bonhams Fine Art Dealers in
London before moving to Sothebys in 1982 Having worked in South Africa, the
UK and continental Europe, he became Director at Sothebys Monaco in 1998.
