Birds on a Wire is much more than friendship, it’s THE artistic meeting between the French-American Rosemary Standley of folk band Moriarty and the Brazilian cellist Dom La Nena who has accompanied the tours of Jane Birkin, Jeanne Moreau or Etienne Daho. It is the marriage between a voice of moire and velvet and a fluid and refined musicality around a vast repertoire that embraces all times and all genres, from Purcell to Leonard Cohen, from Monteverdi to Tom Waits, traditional songs from Catalonia or Argentina... A musical heritage that these two birds reinvent in daring, timeless arrangements: free, on a string, they compose a score to their image, all in softness and delicacy. Also audacious, and sometimes even irreverent, when the voice and cello fly away and free themselves. Those who love them will travel in the most beautiful way...
