The former Romanesque chapel of Vallauris Castle houses the National Picasso Museum "War and Peace", a monumental composition painted on isorel panels.
Housed in a 12th-C. Romanesque chapel, this museum contains two Picasso's famous monumental compositions "War and Peace" (125 m2) representing themes dear to the artist in the period immediately after the War. It was also in Vallauris that Picasso discovered the art of ceramics and pottery, at the Madoura studio (exhibitions of works from this period).
