The circus artist Damien Droin and his company Hors surface transport us into a high-flying choreographic and acrobatic universe. His new opus is yet another challenge for this intrepid author who has no fear of the eye and combines the poetry of jumping with the attractive force of the unknown. Facing the walls, a new imaginary world opens up to us.
In the shows of Damien Droin, man competes with space and architecture in improbable combinations. His new creation does not deviate from the rule that leads its six companions in impossible trajectories, confined spaces that surround them, mark borders, deprive them of freedom. Trapped in a dead-end, the small community must find ways out, break down walls of all kinds (sound, mental, cultural, religious, etc.), invent ways to communicate.
Even if it means risking a fall, dangerously touching each other, losing your bearings, getting drunk with speed; and for this fight vertigo, banalize fear, trust, rely on the other. For more than ten years, his company in Toulon has been convinced of the essential osmosis of the group to create. Damien Droin brings the impossible to life by constantly exceeding the physical limits of the human body. Facing the verticality, or as here, Facing the walls.
