House for Palladian architecture, built in 1857 by the Baroness of Prailly. Placed on the ISMH, the property was purchased by Paul Bourget in 1896. Many writers were received there. These places, loaded with literary memory, are surrounded by a 4 ha park with lush vegetation. Visit the Botanical Garden and Paul Bourget Chapel.
The property is an important part of the Côte d'Azur's historical, architectural and plant heritage.
Historically, prominent personalities have been linked to the plantier, as well as their prestigious entourage of wealthy winter guests, who came to enjoy the setting of this magnificent acclimatization garden. Queen Victoria stayed here for 5 weeks in 1892, during her stay in Hyères. Paul Bourget, a renowned writer, made it his home from 1896 onwards, and hosted a number of writers...
