Follow the footsteps of Saint-François de Paule in the town of Le Lavandou and Bormes-les-Mimosas.
Following the Saint-François path, you will walk on the path taken by Saint-François de Paule in the 15th century.

St. Francis de Paule, an Italian monk from Calabria, Italy, was called by Louis XI to heal him from a little-known evil. Thus he docked in the Bay of Lavandou to join the march to the royal castle of Plessis-lez-Tours. He then took a path to join in the first stage Bormes-les-Mimosas. To thank the people for having welcomed him, he will pray that the plague never invades the village. Which was the case. In his homage, the Bormeans will build the Chapelle Saint-François de Paule in 1760 and will name the Italian monk "Saint-Patron" of Bormes-les-Mimosas.

Follow in the footsteps of Saint-François-de-Paule by borrowing part of the GR90 named "Sentier Saint-François" marked in red and white. This pilgrimage begins in the bay of Lavandou at the tourist office and ends at the Chapelle Saint-François in the village of Bormes-les-Mimosas.
