In 2016, the Po'Boys flew to New Orleans, the cradle of African-American music, where they met and worked with the biggest names in local brass bands.
A living symbol of Louisiana, brass bands—these orchestras combining percussion and brass instruments—form the rhythm of local life. Funerals, carnivals, sporting events, community festivals, and political rallies: they are present at every moment of social life.
Beyond music, they embody values of solidarity and collective pride. They can be found in the streets, restaurants, jazz clubs, parks... celebrations are everywhere.
It's in this musical whirlwind that the Po'Boys immerse themselves in a rich cultural blend of French heritage, African-American traditions, and Caribbean influences.
