Facing due South, Roure enjoys an appealing climate, protected from the prevailing winds. The houses, built of purple stone with their agro-pastoral architecture, are characteristic of the valley.
Roure’s Marcel Kroenlein Arboretum features mountain plants from all over the world, collections of conifers, maple, juniper, houseleek, etc. It is the only high-altitude linked to Art.
