This pretty little square is in the heart of the oldest part of the village. It used to be the place where the villagers used to gather during festivals or important events.
The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Chapel dates back to the first construction of the primitive village and provided a place of worship for the community. It sheltered the local brotherhood of white penitents called "du Gonfalon", which ceased its activities in the 19th century. Transformed and renovated in 1864, it lost its high bell tower.
