Sentier de La Sainte Magdeleine: not to be missed.
From the church, take the Route des Guiols to the left of the church, for 2.5 km. Turn right onto Chemin Sainte Magdeleine. At Les 4 chemins (citerne verte), turn left for 150 m, then left again on a narrow path for 500 m through the oaks to the chapel. Return via the Laïré track to the village center.
Don't miss: at La Chapelle, climb another 30 m to reach the rocks, which offer an extraordinary view of La Mole and the Gulf of Saint Tropez. Perched at one end of the Plateau de Maravieille, the Castrum de Sainte Magdeleine, La Mole's former medieval village, was built in the 14th century from local basalt, a volcanic rock, and soon abandoned. The dark color of its walls and the surrounding wilderness give it a mysterious, bewitching and magical atmosphere.
