When Maria Bodin, an authoritarian and surly farmer, and her son Christian learn that an industrial cheese factory is about to set up in their small village, they are ready to do anything to defend their traditional cheese factory.
From the Salon de l'agriculture to the Moroccan desert, they'll stop at nothing to scupper this factory project: blackmail, fights, chases - once again, the Bodin's will brave every danger to save their values and traditions.
