The Manouche Swingsons is a group from the south of France, formed in 2012. The band is in the spirit of the Hot Club de France Quintet of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli.
Their passion for 1930s swing is complemented by a variety of influences, including traditional Gypsy music, bebop and more contemporary genres. They draw inspiration from artists such as Charlie Parker, Wes Montgomery and Biréli Lagrène. Their repertoire oscillates between Django Reinhardt standards, American jazz, Gypsy music and personal compositions, but always with a Gypsy jazz accent.
