You will visit a 900 m long secure underground circuit, on the 20 km long galleries of one of the most important mines in the Alps. In a remarkable state of preservation, at an altitude of 1500 m, more than 300 people worked there from the 18th to the 20th century!
Located in a remarkable green setting at an altitude of 1500 m on the edge of the Mercantour National Park, its galena (silver lead) and blende (zinc ore) deposits have been exploited since the 11th and 12th centuries.
The mine can be visited by guided tour upon reservation, and will be open to visitors in 2022.
