Stroll through flower-filled alleyways populated byworks ofart: In spring, Mougins’ winding lanes light up with flowers and art, with the open-air exhibition “Monumental” from April 5, featuring the sculpted silhouettes of Emmanuel Michel.
Picnic at the Etang de Fontmerle: On the edge of the Parc de la Valmasque, this five-hectare lake is home to a rich fauna and the largest colony of sacred lotuses in Europe, offering an enchanting spectacle every summer, in the heart of an ideal setting for walks and picnics.
Stroll along the Canal de la Siagne: Along the Canal de la Siagne, between restanques and undergrowth, a peaceful stroll leads to the Notre-Dame-de-Vie chapel, next to Picasso’s former home, offering a bucolic immersion at the gateway to Mougins.
Admire a 360° view from the top of the bell tower: from April to October, climb the 80 steps of the bell tower of the Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church and admire a 360° panorama of the hinterland, the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins islands, with a breathtaking view in summer of the fireworks at the Festival d’art pyrotechnique.
