Things to do in winter in Valberg

Downhill skiing: Valberg offers a varied ski area with 25 km of cross-country skiing, almost 30 km of snowshoe trails and 360° panoramic views. Sunny snow garden, handi-skiing… everything you need for a successful, accessible winter holiday.
Cross-countryskiing: Cross-country skiers can enjoy 25 km of trails (green, blue and red) at the hamlet of Les Launes, 4 km from Valberg, accessible by free shuttle bus. Beginners? The ESF offers cross-country skiing and biathlon lessons with qualified instructors.
Toboggan runs: Young and old alike can enjoy the thrill of the slopes on the toboggan runs at Valberg and Beuil-Les Launes. There are four secure, open-access areas for you to enjoy all winter long. A must-do activity!
Pool area: Need to relax? Thepool area has a covered, heated pool and paddling pool. Water games, aquagym and lifeguards guarantee safe and fun swimming.
Valby’s snowshoe hikes: Valby, the resort’s emblematic dragon, invites children to follow his favourite walks. Their mission: to reproduce his photos along the route, then show them at the Tourist Office to receive their diploma.

Discovery Snow Trail

Level of difficulty: Easy. Duration: 1 hour.
Distance: 2.1km. Difference in altitude: +100 m.
Starting point: Valberg Golf Club

Are you new to snowshoeing? This trail is ideal for beginners. Just under 3km long, it takes you to the heights of the resort and offers panoramic views of the ski area and surrounding mountains.

The Planetary Path

Level of difficulty: Medium / Difficult. Duration: 4h30.
Distance: 9.6km. Difference in altitude: +300 m.

This is a longer hike with no technical difficulties, providing a superb day out. The trail is dotted with monumental land art works depicting the solar system. If you love stars and breathtaking views, this is the trail for you!

An affordable hike taking in the vast expanses of the Plateau St-Jean, with two prominent peaks of the Haut-Cians in the background: Mont-Mounier (2817m) to the north and the summit of Les Cluots (2106m) to the south.
