This year, the magic of Christmas settles in Biot, this charming village on the Côte d’Azur, for a month of unforgettable festivities. From December 1 to 30, Biot is decked out in lights, with a rich program of entertainment for young and old. In an enchanting setting, enjoy Christmas traditions revisited with the elegance and conviviality for which this village is renowned.

Biot J’adore Noël: the festivities kick off

Sunday, December 1 from 5pm – Biot Village

Get ready for the magic of Christmas on December 1 in Biot:

  • Christmas concert in the church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine at 5pm, a serene musical moment to kick off the festivities.
  • Launch of the illuminations: the village lights up in a magical atmosphere from 6pm. A magical stroll awaits you through the narrow streets and squares, transformed into a showcase of light.
  • Les Volets de Noël: to mark the opening of the first part of this giant Advent calendar, discover the creations of children from Biot schools, the Espace des Arts et de la Culture and the IME les Hirondelles.
  • Le verre de l’amitié: share a convivial moment over mulled wine or hot chocolate, courtesy of the town, while enjoying a warm musical ambience.

Biot’s big Christmas market: crafts and delicacies

A highlight of the magic of Christmas, the market returns from Friday December 20 to Monday December 30. With some thirty chalets and wooden structures, you’ll be immersed in a real Christmas atmosphere, as you stock up on gifts from the artisans on hand (candles, decorative objects, fashion accessories, jewelry…) and treat your taste buds to local specialities (chestnuts and mulled wine, honey, cookies, beer…). There’s plenty of entertainment to keep you entertained at the Christmas market, which you can discover in this program…

Festive opening on December 20 :

  • 6pm: Start of the Christmas market.
  • 6:30pm: Opening cocktail party in Place de Gaulle, with mulled wine and roasted chestnuts provided by the Amicale Biotoise des Traditions, plus champagne soup and sweet mignardises provided by the Ville de Biot.
  • 7pm: Concert by l’Harmonie de Biot: More than 40 musicians will sound in the heart of the village to celebrate the opening of the market in an exceptional musical atmosphere.

  • Exception: December 24 (11am to 4pm). Closed on December 25.

Les Volets de Noël: an open-air art exhibition

From December 1ᵉʳ to December 24 – Biot Village

Every day in December, the village of Biot awakens under the magic of Les Volets de Noël, transforming its alleyways into an immense Advent calendar. Created by children from the town’s schools, students from the Espace des Arts et de la Culture, and youngsters from the IME les Hirondelles, these shutters unveil unique, colorful creations.

Each opening, day after day, brings a new surprise, offering an open-air art exhibition. This tradition delights visitors and residents alike, showcasing the creativity of our youngest visitors in a warm and magical setting. A not-to-be-missed event to immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas in Biot.

Enchanting shows and entertainment for all the family

December 21-30 – Biot Village

Biot Village comes alive every evening with magical strolls that will amaze young and old alike. Highlights include “La bulle de Neige ” (December 21), where the Snow Queen fascinates visitors with her luminous bubble, “Entre les nuages” (December 28), a poetic dance on stilts, and “Tchouk Tchouk, le train de Noël” (December 29), a festive parade straight from Lapland.

During the day, the Place des Arcades is transformed into a veritable playground: thrills guaranteed on the enlarged toboggan run, donkey rides through the picturesque alleyways and large wooden games for convivial moments.

And for gourmets, don’t miss the Christmas Cooking Festival, where star chefs invite you to discover unique flavors during interactive workshops.

Festival de cuisine de Noël à Biot : un rendez-vous gourmand

December 21-29 – Salles d’exposition Hedberg-Torun

Biot’s Christmas Food Festival returns for its fourth year, a not-to-be-missed event for gastronomy enthusiasts and those in search of new flavors. The event brings together Michelin-starred chefs, Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and renowned artisans such as Michaël Fulci and Emilien Brietz (Les Terraillers, Biot), Didier Aniès (Château de la Tour, Cannes), and Marc Saint-Saëns, master chocolatier from Biot.

On the program: interactive workshops on traditional and exotic sweet and savoury recipes to delight the taste buds of all participants. From December 21 to 29 (except December 24), two sessions a day invite you to discover the secrets of great chefs. An ideal opportunity to learn the culinary arts and share a moment of conviviality in a warm and festive setting.

La Place Gourmande: the novelty of Christmas 2024

December 20-30 – Place de Gaulle

New this year, the Place Gourmande promises to delight food-lovers and connoisseurs alike. Located on Place de Gaulle, it will be transformed into a veritable temple of flavors, where Biot restaurateurs will be offering a palette of culinary specialties to be savored throughout the day.

A magnificent dome of light hangs over the space, adding a magical, festive touch to your gourmet experience. Come and share a warm moment and treat your taste buds with family or friends, in an atmosphere that blends conviviality and aesthetics.

Opening hours: daily from 11am (closed on December 25). A must-stop during your visit to Biot’s Christmas festivities!

Festive evenings: convivial atmosphere and music

Thursday, December 26 and Monday, December 30 – Place de Gaulle

The party continues after Christmas with themed evenings:

  • DJ and Christmas sweaters evening (December 26): don your kitschiest sweaters for an evening full of surprises and festive music.
  • En attendant Sylvestre (December 30): round off the festivities with a DJ evening, champagne bar and festive entertainment.
