Christmas Village – “Pain d’épices et gourmandises” (Gingerbread and delicacies)

From Friday December 6, 2024 to Sunday January 5, 2025 – Port Hercule

As at the end of each year, the enchantment of Christmas will take place right in the heart of the Principality! With its gourmet theme, the Christmas Village 2024 will tantalize the taste buds of young and old alike, and delight the whole family.

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a festive, sweet universe where the spirit of Christmas mingles with the delights of childhood, while enjoying the 23 food stalls and 24 sales chalets, not forgetting the attractions: Ferris wheel, Christmas tree merry-go-round, carousel, toboggan… New this year: a Christmas fun trail!

The festivities will be in full swing at Port Hercule, with the Christmas village offering a variety of travelling shows, from mascots and stilt-walkers to dance troupes and costumed performers!

Afternoon stage shows, enchanting musical evenings and fun and creative workshops will provide families with unforgettable memories.

Sports Village

In addition to the traditional Christmas Village, Monaco is offering a unique sporting and festive experience: the Sports Village, set up in the South Darse of Port Hercule. From December 20, 2024 to January 5, 2025, this vast zone of playful activities promises unforgettable moments for the whole family, right at the heart of the festive season celebrations.

This veritable open-air playground invites young and old to enjoy themselves and take up sporting challenges. On the program: a spectacular zip line for thrills, a ninja course to test your agility, accrobranche workshops for adventures in heights, and climbing walls for climbing enthusiasts. A perfect combination for getting your exercise while enjoying the festive atmosphere of Christmas and New Year in the Principality.

Illuminations in the Principality

Every year, for more than six weeks, every district in the Principality is illuminated in the colors of Christmas.

Magnificent decorations adorn the facades of the most beautiful buildings, and the Christmas spirit sweeps through Monaco.

The official Monaco lighting ceremony took place at the end of November from the Place du Palais. All the Principality’s districts are now illuminated, whether with motifs or scenography incorporating illuminated ceilings or floor decorations.

A fairytale setting for an ecological conscience: the lighting is controlled with a logic of sobriety, made possible by the Monegasque smart city’s electrical network. A committed and responsible action in line with the wishes of Prince Albert II.

Christmas magic everywhere in Monaco

Monaco is decked out in its finest lights, with decorations blooming in the Principality’s streets for an enchanting festive season.

Christmas snow globes / Place du Casino

From the end of November, marvel at the Place du Casino and indulge in the giant snow globes. The various pictures illustrated by these spheres make up a complete story, renewed each year. A visual stroll that evokes the spirit of Christmas, a skilful blend of generosity and kindness.

Meet Santa Claus / Place du Casino and Carré d’Or

Before taking off on his annual grand tour, Santa Claus has planned an itinerary around Place du Casino, in our hotels and in front of the Christmas chalets. Put on your best smile for a sparkling photo!

Christmas Carrousel / Jardin des Boulingrins

The legendary Christmas Carrousel and Chalet can be found in the Jardin des Boulingrins, opposite the Casino de Monte-Carlo. It’s the ideal place for a magical moment with the whole family, and an opportunity to make your children dream by offering them an enchanted interlude. Le Chalet will be serving crêpes, churros and hot drinks. The promise of a sweet and comforting break between two seasonal activities!

Christmas Choir / Place du Casino and Carré d’Or

Joy to the world, it’s Christmas! The magic of Christmas continues with choirs enchanting your ears during musical shows and outdoor concerts organized (and improvised) throughout the Principality. Experience the magic of Christmas choirs on December 21, 22, 24 and 25 from 1pm to 4:30pm.

Chic or traditional: boutiques and Christmas markets

A high-end shopping experience awaits you on the Christmas Promenade Monte-Carlo Shopping. This is your chance to find a stylish festive outfit in one of the designer boutiques, sumptuous gifts or superb festive decorations, made in particular in local workshops.

On the Avenue de Monte-Carlo, you’ll be spoilt for choice among our 6 Christmas chalets. From Christmas comfort food to unique gift ideas, all the themes of the festive season are represented here.

The highlight of the show is the Christmas tree in Place du Casino, one of the Principality’s most famous locations. The 18-metre-high tree looks after visitors every year and symbolizes the elegant tourism that takes place in the city at this time of year.
