SOME OF THE HISTORY OF THE MUSÉE OCEANOGRAPHIQUE IN MONACO!

Sailor and trailblazer in oceanography and attracted by travel and science from an early age, Prince Albert I conducted 28 scientific campaigns dedicating a large part of his life to the study of the oceans. To promote knowledge of oceanography, he designed a temple entirely dedicated to the sea: the Musée Océanographique in Monaco. Set up in 1906, this non-profit foundation is based on two institutions: the Musée Océanographique in Monaco and the Maison des Océans in Paris.
