VISIT THE CHÂTEAU DE LA NAPOULE AND ITS GARDENS

Emerging from the sea with its magnificent red stone and towers – not to be missed!

The Château de La Napoule occupies a prestigious site on the seafront, known to the Romans more than 2,000 years ago. It was restored in the 1920s by the American artist Henry Clews. Although he devoted himself to the architecture of the chateau and the artistic works on display in the chateau museum, his wife was the architect of the gardens. They include water features and topiary. This historic monument is a fascinating glimpse of the history of architecture. In summer, enjoy the tea room on the terrace overlooking the sea.

RELAX ON MANDELIEU’S BEACHES

Dive into the limpid waters of the Golfe de La Napoule!

With its 3 kilometre coastline, Mandelieu-La-Napoule has 7 beautiful sandy beaches. A favourite is the Plage du Château and its unusual setting for a day on the beach near the harbour. Want more privacy? Walk along the coastal path and discover the secret beach just behind the chateau. A little further on, from the first red rocks of the Estérel, you’ll come across some small coves. Some are easier to get to than others but they will be quiet. Rather than sand there are small pebbles and the transparent water is just made for swimming.
