GO TO THE PROVENCAL MARKET IN OLD ANTIBES

What to see in Antibes: one of the most authentic covered markets on the Côte d’Azur!

Located in the heart of Antibes’ old town, the Provencal market is a must-see when you visit Antibes. From Tuesday to Sunday mornings, on the Cours Masséna in front of the town hall, around fifty local producers offer you an overview of Provençal gastronomy, in a profusion of colours and intoxicating scents. Florists, market gardeners, fishmongers, pork butchers, cheesemongers… you name it! Just a few metres away, take a stroll through the flower-filled lanes of the Safranier district, or to be more precise, the commune libre du Safranier.

Facing the sea, overlooking the Port Vauban and its Quai des Milliardaires, this monumental 8-metre-high work by the Catalan artist truly stands out as… the greatest of great men and is one of Antibes’ most Instagrammable sites.

RELIVE HISTORY AT FORT CARRÉ

This former 16th-century military fort, known as ” Fort Carré “, is now listed as a Historic Monument for its remarkable architecture and unspoilt natural setting.
