Since its creation in 2006, the Festival des Etoiles de Mougins has paid tribute to Roger Vergé, the illustrious Michelin-starred chef of the Moulin de Mougins, by bringing together the biggest names in national and international gastronomy. These renowned chefs, who take turns as patrons of the event, take their places behind the stoves to celebrate the culinary arts. Among the festival’s leading figures are Paul Bocuse, Gaston Lenôtre, Alain Ducasse, Michel Guérard, Pierre Troisgros, Marc Veyrat, Anne-Sophie Pic, Éric Frechon, Philippe Etchebest, Thierry Marx and Jacques Maximin. Recent guests have included Guillaume Gomez, former Head Chef at the Élysée Palace and the French President’s representative to gastronomy and food industry players and networks.

Every year, the event attracts some 30,000 visitors, all passionate about haute cuisine and eager to discover the excellence of French gastronomy. Chefs from the most prestigious establishments make their mark at each edition, consolidating the festival’s reputation.

2. A renowned guest of honour to celebrate French culinary excellence

In 2024, the festival has pulled out all the stops by welcoming a guest of honour, none other than the remarkable Guillaume Gomez, former chef at the Elysée Palace and current French Ambassador for Gastronomy. Driven by his love and passion for French cuisine, he travels the world promoting the richness and diversity of our heritage.

This key figure on the culinary scene likes to share his expertise with chefs from all over the world, as well as with the general public at culinary workshops. By inviting this true ambassador of French gastronomy, Les Étoiles de Mougins is reaffirming its commitment to showcasing the excellence of French cuisine and promoting it beyond our borders.

3. Michelin-starred chefs to sublimate the flavours of the Côte d’Azur

More than a hundred guest chefs will be present, including many with Michelin stars. These virtuosos of the kitchen, who represent excellence à la française, will be sharing their know-how and passion through a wide range of conferences, demonstrations and culinary shows.

Since its first edition in 2006, the Festival has launched the Les Espoirs de Mougins culinary competitions, spotlighting numerous talents who have since proved their worth. This year, the young generation will once again be celebrated through two competitions. So, if you’re a professional chef or pastry chef and you’re looking to challenge yourself with other professionals under the watchful eye of the most eminent representatives of your profession, don’t hesitate to apply for the “Jeune Chef” and “Jeune Pâtissier” competitions, which will take place live during the festival.
