THE MIMOSA FESTIVAL

It’s one of the classic Côte d’Azur winter festivals that’s waiting for you in the Côte d’Azur festive calendar!

Come along to La Fête du Mimosa, from 11 to 15 February 2026, in Mandelieu-La Napoule.

The Mimosa Capital will be welcoming the public for another colourful edition, with the theme “Carnival of Carnivals®”!

THE MIMOSA FESTIVAL,

THE TRUE EMBLEM OF MANDELIEU

In Mandelieu-La Napoule
From 11th to 15th February 2026
Theme: “Carnival of Carnivals®”.

More concentrated, more festive, always joyful and popular, the Mimosa Festival will take place in the town’s neighbourhoods, which will see the colourful, flower-filled corsos parade past. Festival-goers will be able to gather in the heart of Mandelieu – on the Place de France – without forgetting the historic mimosa district: Capitou and the seaside district of La Napoule.

On the programme: parades, light parades, flower corsos, children’s carnival, entertainment, strolls, exhibitions, animated squares, street and market flower displays, all based on the theme of this year’s carnival! Take a tour of the carnival traditions and corsos that punctuate the calendar of the French regions: from the Provençal to the Basque, from the Corsican to the Breton, from the Norman to the Savoyard, from the Antilles to the Ch’tis…! Five days of intense festivities to share, enjoy and celebrate the mimosa, symbol of the Côte d’Azur’s winter sunshine.

The Tourist Office will be the meeting point for a host of suggestions for walks, discoveries of the Tanneron – the largest mimosa forest in Europe – sales of mimosa-related products, ticket purchases for the corsos… The mimosa specialities offered by talented Mandolodian culinary designers will be in season. The programme will be rounded off with heritage tours of the Château de La Napoule and botanical tours of Mandelieu’s parks and gardens. At the same time, Mandelieu-La Napoule is stepping up its mimosa flower display on the town’s main thoroughfares.

THE MIMOSA, THE WINTER FLOWER OF THE CÔTE D’AZUR!

Before you come and celebrate this emblematic Côte d’Azur flower at the Fête du Mimosa, we’ll tell you all about its origins…

.
Did you know?
The English, botanical enthusiasts, were particularly present on the Côte d’Azur in the 19th century.

Seduced by their holidays on the Côte d’Azur, they brought the mimosa with them. The mimosa itself, imported from Australia around 1850, decorated the gardens of their sumptuous residences.

This winter plant is still worked by five mimosa growers in Mandelieu, who harvest two million stems each year.

Part of this production – twelve tonnes in all – is traditionally used for the Fête du Mimosa, starting with the flower corsos.

Mandelieu-La Napoule’s reputation as the Mimosa Capital grows year on year.
