The Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival: An Ode to Literature and Culture

See you in 2026!

The Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival, a showcase for contemporary literature, is an international event that this year welcomes 300 guests to delight book lovers. Nestling in the heart of the Alpes-Maritimes, in the charming town of Mouans-Sartoux, this emblematic festival takes place every autumn and is a unique rendez-vous for all bibliophiles and readers. With meetings, book signings, debates and events, the 2026 edition promises a rich and committed programme to celebrate literary culture in all its forms.

A treasure trove of literary discoveries

The Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival is the ideal place to discover a varied literary programme, ranging from contemporary novels to poetry and comic strips.

This book festival showcases committed authors who share their passion and expertise with the public. Visitors can attend literary concerts and enriching meetings, where writers present and discuss their works.

Thanks to its friendly atmosphere, readers can let themselves be carried away by the magic of the pages and discover new books that will feed their passion for literature.

Enlightening encounters with authors

One of the festival’s major assets is its ability to bring together internationally renowned writers and passionate readers.

Round tables, writing workshops and events allow participants to interact directly with authors and ask questions about their work.

These enriching exchanges offer insight into the challenges facing writers in today’s world, and provide a better understanding of the nuances of different literary genres.

The literary concerts that punctuate the festival add a unique artistic dimension, making this a truly vibrant and dynamic book fair in Mouans-Sartoux.

A Lasting Commitment to Promoting Reading

For over 35 years, the Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival has been built on two essential pillars: ecology and humanism. True to these values, the event continues its commitment by highlighting works that raise awareness and question our relationship with the world.

Every two years, the Mouans-Sartoux Prize for Books Committed to the Planet rewards outstanding works on the major ecological issues: biodiversity, climate justice, transition, protection of the living world, etc.
Novels, essays, young people, comics and teenagers: there are five categories.

For the next edition, the prize-giving ceremony will be presided over by Alexis Jenni, winner of the Prix Goncourt, once again demonstrating the richness and depth of this committed literary event.

Once again, the 2026 edition promises to be inspiring, open and forward-looking.
