IN THE MOOD FOR A CHANGE OF SCENERY? DISCOVER THE MONTS D’AZUR RESERVE!

On the programme: wide open spaces and wild animals…

Welcome to a unique place: the Monts d’Azur Reserve in Thorenc, just 45 minutes from Grasse. It’s the only place where you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride to see European bison, in winter and summer alike. The bison are not alone, as several Przewalski’s horses also inhabit the reserve. One of the few horses never to have been domesticated by man, and therefore never to have been subjected to artificial selection, it is the closest to the primitive horse. A trip back in time guaranteed. What’s more, you can spend the night here for a guaranteed change of scenery.

Parc Alpha, meet the wolves of the Côte d’Azur

Get up close and personal with wolves, in their natural habitat, on a one-kilometre trail.

Just an hour from Nice, in the heart of the Mercantour, the famous Vésubie and Valdeblore valleys offer a very special park: Parc Alpha, where you can meet wolves in their natural habitat. Yes, yes, the wolf: that legendary animal recently reintroduced to the Mercantour Park. Located at an altitude of between 1,500 and 1,800 metres, Parc Alpha is a must-see at any time of year. The park is home to three wolf packs. During your visit, you can watch them from special observation posts. The wolves live in semi-liberty alongside chamois and hares. A unique experience in a natural environment for young and old alike.
