“Biot and the Knights Templar” in 2026
Hear ye, hear ye! The town of Biot has announced the dates for the next edition of ‘Biot et les Templiers’, which will take place from 10 to 12 April 2026. This iconic event will celebrate its tenth anniversary, having won over the public and established itself as one of the biggest medieval festivals in Europe.
Every year, ‘Biot and the Knights Templar’ attracts visitors from all walks of life thanks to its combination of shows, crafts, festivities and historical discoveries in the picturesque setting of the village of Biot. The 2025 edition broke records once again with 110,000 visitors, confirming the public's attachment to this family and cultural celebration. This success is also due to the involvement of residents, associations, shopkeepers and volunteers, who are the real pillars of this historical re-enactment.
For its tenth anniversary, the 2026 edition, which will take place from 10 to 12 April, promises to be spectacular. The town is preparing an exciting programme to pay tribute to a decade of traditions, sharing and conviviality between Biot and its visitors.
With ‘Biot and the Knights Templar’, the town continues to highlight its heritage and history, while offering a festive and immersive experience that attracts an ever-growing audience each year.
It is no coincidence that the event was awarded the Coq d'Or for ‘Event of the Year 2025’ (*) by the Delbo Presse group in September, succeeding the Menton Lemon Festival.
(*) A national award highlighting local initiatives carried out by local authorities, businesses and public actors throughout France.
