The island of Saint-Honorat is home to the Abbey of Lérins, a major centre of Christian spirituality. Built in the 5th century by the monk Honorat, 16 centuries of monastic life have permeated this island.
Today, 21 monks perpetuate a community way of life, structured around 4 founding principles: prayer, work, study and hospitality. ‘Ora et labora, pray and work’. Renowned for its vineyards, Lérins Abbey also produces liqueurs.

Guided tours are organised for groups and led by lay friends of the Abbey of Lérins.

Only the Planaria company, managed by the community, provides the sea link with Cannes.
