Jean Anouilh's production of Antigone explores the tensions between the individual and the collective, the ideal and pragmatism, revolt and social order.
In a pared-down scenography - red carpet, wooden seat and water used as a symbol - two figures confront each other: Antigone, fragile in appearance but of absolute bravery, and Creon, an authority torn between duty and compassion.
