At Roquebrune sur Argens in Var, 1 km away from the Perrin lakeside beach and 12 km from the seaside (Saint-Aygulf), an authentic 94 m² cottage with 4 main rooms in the medieval village of Roquebrune-sur-Argens, at the foot of the Castrum. Sleeps SIX people. In the upper part of the medieval village of Roquebrune sur Argens, this TWO-STAR cottage has a small east-facing garden with greenery and flowers, and a patio of about 45 m² in the shade of an ash, with plants and patio furniture.
This house full of character has a stone facade, exposed beams in every room and a large fireplace in the kitchen which is built into the rock on one side, making it naturally cool without the need for airconditioning in summer.
On the street side, the front door opens into a spacious living room of about 23 m² where you'll find a sofa bed which converts into a 2x2m bed, a flat-screen TV with SFR digital channels and Wifi Internet access, a DVD player, a HiFi and a large dresser.

A spiral staircase leads to:
- Upstairs:
* a master bedroom on the 1st floor of which 2 walls are cut in the rock with a 140cm double bed, a bathroom (Italian shower, bidet, heated towel rail and wall-mounted fan heater) and a separate toilet;
* a large bedroom covering the entire 2nd floor (approximately 23 m²) with 3 single beds (90cm) and storage space (chimney stack and stone wall).
- Downstairs:
A kitchen of about 23 m² with a 3-ring induction hob, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, a pellet stove and a multifunction oven. The kitchen opens onto the patio, below which you'll find a spacious utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, and an extra toilet and shower.
There's a small outbuilding can be used to store bicycles, a pushchair, etc.

The nearby village centre has a bakery, a butcher's, a minimarket, a patisserie, restaurants, "La Maison du Terroir", a Friday market, and healthcare amenities. About 1 km away you'll find Perrin Lake and the Rock with the Arena Beach watersports centre (pedalos, kayaks, canoeing, waterskiing, etc.) with its own beach, snack bar and restaurant, and the banks of the River Argens. The supermarkets are 1.5 to 2 km away, the sandy beach of Saint-Aygulf 12 km away, Les Issambres beaches at 17 km (very close to La Nartelle beach in Sainte Maxime, the scene of allied landings on 15th August 1944), and the thalosstherapy centre of Les Issambres (one of the 3 sites of Roquebrune) is 18 km away. The property is near the hiking paths of the Massif des Maures (about 1 km) and the mountain bike trails around the Rock (as well as La Bouverie, another of the 3 sites of Roquebrune), and the golf course is 10 km away.

THE SEASONAL RENTAL RATES apply per week from Saturday to Saturday between 25th June and 3rd September. Please contact me for information on other periods or for different durations or arrival/departure days.
