The Big Band is made up of 16 to 18 musicians, students of Nice's Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional Pierre Cochereau, united in the largest jazz band in the world.

The Conservatoire's Big Band performs the great jazz standards, from swing to funk, specially designed for the Big Band, and explores new horizons with Sound Painting (improvised conducting without a score). Tradition and modernism come together in these concerts.
