A young woman, searching for her own contours, fills empty picture frames with her images. “Everything seemed to serve as a border,” wrote Baudelaire. She gets caught up in the game, enjoying it to the point of an exuberant delirium that suffocates her, confuses her, and inflates her ego. This trap of light makes her lose her footing…
The dancer moves with humor, poetry, and sensitivity. The choreography oscillates between visual art and sophisticated or spontaneous movements. This piece takes us into a danced and musical universe inspired by Charles Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal.

“This piece was born from my intimate questioning of the theme of self-image. How do we honestly perceive ourselves, and how can we cheat by creating a sublime image that we stage? Placing my invented character in the world of pictorial art and portraiture makes her emotions resonate with this universal question.”
